The Romines
The Romines
Some celebrations leave a lasting impression - not just for their beauty, but for their soul. Madison and Grant’s wedding weekend was one we’ll forever reminisce: thoughtful, stylish, and deeply felt. A fresh interpretation of timeless Southern grace, their weekend wove together modern details, sophisticated design, and meaningful celebration. From a city-chic welcome party and intimate rehearsal dinner to a wedding day steeped in elegance at the iconic Duke Mansion, every moment unfolded with intention.

The Rehearsal Dinner + Welcome Party
A Queen City Kick-Off
The weekend began in the heart of the Queen City, where Madison and Grant welcomed guests with an intimate evening at Lincoln Street Cocktails! Equal parts elevated and effortlessly cool.
Designed by our team at Honey + Thyme Events alongside our in-house stylist Farrah of The Wedding Edit, the evening unfolded with a coursed dinner, signature cocktails, and live music setting the mood.
Guests mingled at the custom bracelet bar activation, sipped under the stars, and ended the night with a silver glitter cake and curated dessert bites - because every celebration deserves a little sparkle (and a sugar rush).

Wedding Day // Getting Ready
Inspired by a Southern Icon
When choosing their venue, M+G knew they wanted something iconic, and The Duke Mansion delivered. Nestled in Charlotte, North Carolina its gardens and architecture offered a classic, romantic backdrop.
The couple’s vision was to honor the space’s Southern elegance, but elevate it with a chic, modern spin that felt true to their personalities.
" The Duke Mansion is a vision. We simply wanted to play on its beauty and extend the beauty of the gardens in the design. While the venue is a southern landmark, we wanted to bring a modern and chic spin on the space that was an extension of Grant and I.”
We designed around this idea, bold yet organic accents, clean signage, and curated installations that brought the tied the elevated garden elements in.

The Ceremony
A Love Story, Take Two
M+G matched not once, but twice, on dating apps before their story truly began. Grant finally sealed the deal with an Instagram DM, and the rest was history.
“Being able to build a legacy with your best friend... We’re now linked for eternity, and everything we do, we do together.”
Their wedding wasn’t just about saying “I do”, it was about living fully in every moment. And nothing captured that better than the moment Madison, overflowing with excitement, blurted out “I will” before the officiant could even finish the question.

The Reception
The Party of a Lifetime
For M+G, the wedding wasn’t just about them, it was about “throwing a party for the ages to blend our families and friends together.” Every detail was crafted to spark connection, joy, and celebration from beginning to end.
Three live bands kept the energy high from welcome party to final dance.
Two bridal bouquets added a personal, unexpected touch that delighted.
A spice cake with whisky buttercream (yes, it tasted just as incredible as it sounds).
From the emotional first look to the unforgettable late-night dancing, every moment was layered with meaning, energy, and personal touches. It was the kind of celebration that guests didn’t just attend, they truly experienced it.
